It feels good to be outside in the open air. The quiet of the field. Nothing but the grass, the sky and a mission. A mission to beat my greatest opponent: me.
Whether I’m warming up back stage at Mr. Olympia, or warming up doing the final tests of the NFL Combine Transformation on LevroneReport.com, the opponent is always the same. The thrill is the same, too. But it’s only the same…because I know you’re out there watching.
Maybe running these drills isn’t as glamorous as posing on the big stage. But to me, it’s about pushing boundaries. It’s the fact that most guys my age and weight can’t do what I’m about to do. More importantly, it’s the fact that I’m better than I was when we started this NFL Combine journey nearly four months ago.
That’s what the endless transformation is all about. We pick something and we get better. We always have a goal, a battle, a fight. It doesn’t have to be monumental, we don’t have to be seen by millions. But we gotta have a fight, baby.
On TLR we design a lifestyle of constant change, constant battle. The reward will be continual victories that keep us growing, keep us young, keep us interested in this world. The battles make us strong for others.
We keep growing, keep fighting to defy the inevitabilities. Defy mediocrity and complacency, banish them from our days on this earth. The fight, itself, IS our victory. “To defy is to defeat,” is our battle cry…the battle cry of champions.
